I started making jewelry for pleasure. I loved putting together the stones with metal and enjoyed having something to wear as a result of my fun. When the number of pieces overran our home and I realized this was my chance to make a living at something I loved to do, my husband, Austin and I decided it was time to start a company. Elegance 6 was born. The choice of the word, "Elegance," was chosen to set the mood of beauty and the number 6 was chosen to represent the combination of the use of our talent with that extra creative ability which we all have: the ability that comes with loving what you are doing.
I wanted to have a certain kind of uniqueness in Elegance 6. I managed to do that by the use of specific combinations of stone types and shapes, chosen for their vibrational attributes and colors which can have effect on our mood and well-being. One example of this is when a woman feels sad, she may want to perk up her mood by wearing the sassy purple bracelet and matching necklace. That style puts the dance in any woman! A second example is a woman may choose to help herself feel better by wearing the African Rain necklace with its tribal feeling of the wild-like tendrils of black (heat-treated) coral, brushing again the black water jasper drops causing a sensuous sound of gently falling rain. The silver pearls represent the tiny drops of rain. I utilize my style of making jewelry to contribute to and boost moods and feelings of women, men and children.
Austin started as a Field Engineer with IBM, spent the rest of his career writing test and development software for microchips at Motorola and Freescale, but now ends up with even more software - the website. Quite a transition, but he didn't know he'd have a tougher boss than ever before!
I hope you enjoy this site and can find the perfect pieces. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
